    We are currently hiring for a skilled Shipping Supervisor!

    Responsibilities

    Supervises and coordinates all activities of department to achieve defined goals. These include delivery schedules, quality and quantity output, safety enforcement and others Assigned.  Supervise the union work force directly or through lead personnel.  

     

    • Organize shipping orders and loads to best meet scheduling demands.
    • Assign work loads to employees to best meet requirements
    • Communicate with manufacturing and sales to insure accurate information is gathered
    • Ensure employees are trained properly and understand proper load building and securement and  safety processes
    • Works closely with Norbet dispatcher to ensure proper loading and safety requirements are met at all times.
    • Enforce company rules and use proper disciplinary actions when needed

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma/GED and at least 1 year experience supervising a shipping function.
    • Able to communicate effectively with Sales, Manufacturing, Management, and Customers as required.
    • Able to add, subtract, divide, and multiply. Demonstrated ability to accurately measure to exact requirements using tape measure and micrometer
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively use MS Outlook, Word, Excel for business purposes.
