Overview

The Architectural Sales Representative will be responsible for selling products to architects, designers, developers, and general contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules meetings, presentations, consultations with existing and prospective trade accounts to present products and solutions for clients’ commercial projects.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnerships and employ a client-centric, consultative approach to solving client problems using our system of lighting solutions.
  • Provide technical product knowledge and communicate how unique product benefits can resolve client needs.
  • Follow up on leads and target annual sales goals.
  • Assist back-office sales team to help convert project opportunities into sales.
  • Help prepare and participate in trade shows and showroom events.
  • Communicate customer feedback and ideas to the marketing, design, and engineering
  • Collaborate with Territory Sales Representative team.
  • Educate strategic dealers, general contractors, developers, and sub-contractors in partnership with Territory Sales Representative team.

Qualifications

  • Extensive sales experience (5+ years) in the building products industry, with an understanding of the relationships that drive specifications in the Architectural and Design community, and must have with a proven track record of sales; experience in Architectural Sales is highly desirable
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with Architectural, Engineering, and General Contracting communities to facilitate the introduction of our products.  
  • A broad set of leadership competencies that include strong communication and change management skills, ability to drive business insights, ability to collaborate cross functionally, and effective planning and execution skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, requirements and competing demands in a deadline driven environment
