The Architectural Sales Representative will be responsible for selling products to architects, designers, developers, and general contractors.
Responsibilities
Schedules meetings, presentations, consultations with existing and prospective trade accounts to present products and solutions for clients’ commercial projects.
Identify new business opportunities and partnerships and employ a client-centric, consultative approach to solving client problems using our system of lighting solutions.
Provide technical product knowledge and communicate how unique product benefits can resolve client needs.
Follow up on leads and target annual sales goals.
Assist back-office sales team to help convert project opportunities into sales.
Help prepare and participate in trade shows and showroom events.
Communicate customer feedback and ideas to the marketing, design, and engineering
Collaborate with Territory Sales Representative team.
Educate strategic dealers, general contractors, developers, and sub-contractors in partnership with Territory Sales Representative team.
Qualifications
Extensive sales experience (5+ years) in the building products industry, with an understanding of the relationships that drive specifications in the Architectural and Design community, and must have with a proven track record of sales; experience in Architectural Sales is highly desirable
Ability to develop professional relationships with Architectural, Engineering, and General Contracting communities to facilitate the introduction of our products.
A broad set of leadership competencies that include strong communication and change management skills, ability to drive business insights, ability to collaborate cross functionally, and effective planning and execution skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, requirements and competing demands in a deadline driven environment
